Dear Parents
All the children have settled well into their new classes and we hope that everyone will have a happy and successful term. I am sure that most parents have now introduced themselves to the new class teacher as it is so important to work with the school to support learning and teaching. If parents have any areas of concern please arrange to meet the teacher by appointment at the end of the school day.
Staffing News
As some of you may be aware, Helen Ashton, our Higher Level Teaching Assistant, will be leaving us on Thursday 5 October. She has made an enormous contribution to the school and we wish her all the very best with the planned family move to Kent.
Walk to School Week 16-20 October
We are taking part in the annual Walk to School Week again this year. We would like to encourage all children, where possible, to walk to or from school on one morning or afternoon during the week.
Jeans for Genes Day
We are holding a non-uniform day on Friday 6 October. Children are invited to attend school in jeans (or a casual alternative) on that day together with a £1.00 contribution for charity.
Parent Governor Election
As we have received a number of nominations for the positions of Parent Governors, there may be a formal election. Voting slips and envelopes for your returned forms will be distributed shortly.
School Fund Contributions
If you have not yet paid, please hand in your contribution to the office staff. Without your support many of the wonderful activities the children enjoy could not take place. Many thanks to all parents who have made the voluntary donation to the school fund.
